How do I go about making my hair asian straight?

I have this type of hair right here minus the waves at the moment but I had them before.

I haven't received a hair cut in a while so it is pretty longish. Um so how do I make my hair look of someone from asian descent? I don't want my hair looking crazy like the punk/gloth/emo styles are.

All I want is my current hair,just that instead of it curling it stays 100% straight up. I know you guys should know what i'm talking about because I see people with it all the time in the city.
