Emo hairstyles...?

I love the emo hairstyle but I go to a private school so your hair cant be past your ears or collar any ideas of how to make it look emo within those boundaries?

are you allowed to have the fringe in your face, like maybe a little past your ears, but the back shorter?

Keep the back somewhat short, like maybe an inch and a half long and then spike it. As for the front, grow it out till it's about 3-4 inches long and then use hair spray to style it in kind of a tear-drop bang.
